Two New Talks

We have just posted two new talks in our Audio Section, one by Rodney Smith on the "Thursday Talks" page entitled "The Flame Of Now" and another by Vicky Beeching on the "Importance of Silence" on the "Thought for the Day" page.

Rodney's talk emphasises the need to quieten the constant dialogue which creates and reinforces the form that we take to be "us". Vicky speaks of the need to escape the noise of our technology and find a space in silence.

Talks by Ayya Khema

I occasionally get visitors to this site who have searched for "Talks by Ayya Khema". She is one of my favourite teachers and is sadly missed.

Note - New Talk

There is a new talk, Mindfulness, Metta, Mystery by Rev. Myo Denis Lahey, posted in our Audio Section.

Although I have put this talk under the "Thursday Talks" heading it was in fact used as the talk for the Newport Soto Zen group's monthly Retreat Day last Friday.

The talk was originally given at the Spirit Rock Meditation Centre in Woodacre, west Marin, California.

New Video Bar

If you look over to the right hand column you will see that we have a new Video bar featuring talks from the Buddhist Society of Western Australia. These replace those featuring Ajahn Jayasaro, who was born here on the Island.
